There is just something so infectiously happy and warm about hit Brit Duke Dumont (né Adam Dyment), and it’s not just the superfun virtual safari he goes on in his video. The fellow Brits of Bondax heard it too, and quickly produced this glorious remix, somehow even more upbeat…! So don’t pout just because you’re not in Miami dancing to the best DJs in the world under a gloriously hot sun and are instead locked up high in your city tower while the coast is smacked by a rainstorm…
Ok, you can pout a little.

Earlier in the week, when the sun was still out and the humidity so thick you could barely breathe, it was all I could do not to quit my job, pack my things, and shack up on the beach. Though the temperatures have (again) dropped since, this mix still brings those first warm feelings for anticipation of summertime fun…
Stream this and our other mixes, days in advance, on 8tracks!

The unfortunate audience to a string of recent spectaculars by Mother Nature (hurricanes, snowstorms, hailstorms, you name it…), the City That Never Sleeps never once yielded its dance ambitions. Bound together by glowstick-lit nights and work-free days, New Yorkers kept each other warm in our time off, dancing with the best at Lavo or Cipriani hurricane-night, sharing showers and electric with others at our gyms, offering shelter to our friends without power. And despite some severe changes to our norms, New Yorkers everywhere stopped what they were doing to help one another. So here, a mix to toast the warmth felt in full during a time of need… Cheers! :)

Bondax, aka the duo 17 and 18-year-old George Townsend and Adam Kaye, reminded me a lot of Koreless and his light-hearted beeps and boops; wonderfully zen lounge music — but always with a strong sense of direction. Unbelievable talent.
