Wow, I’m actually kinda amazed I haven’t already posted about these two. RAC, or the Remix Artist Collective, is a duo of DJs André Anjos and Karl Kling who teamed up back in ’07. After huge success with their upbeat, poppy remixing wizardry, the two have decided to take it on the road, and with their tour “RAC DJs,” promise to demonstrate their magic LIVE, creating “an engaging soundscape fed by crowd energy and live interaction”. Hot dang. You’ll get why I’m so psyched after listening to these summer-ready new mixes… Then get yourself a $12 ticket (yes, you read that right) to a night of their upcoming two-night stint at the Brooklyn Bowl, Friday, June 29th, with a helping hand from YACHT’s main man, and Saturday, the 30th, with Body Language (who is awesome-possum) — or get a two-day ticket!

♬ Foster the People – Don’t Stop (TheFatRat Remix)

Can’t get enough of Foster the People. If I’m smart lucky, I’ll get to tune into their Central Park Summerstage performance this year, which promises to be even better than last year’s with all the new tunes they’ve been dropping since. Leave it to another crazy-good German dj, this time the mysterious FatRat, to spin “Don’t Stop” into this unstoppable, whistle-along remix.

The most dangerous thing about TheFatRat seems to be the fact, that it’s been active but undiagnosed for several years already. The quarantine report states that it started spreading somewhere in the club scene in Germany. First traces can be found in Munich and Berlin, where it was hiding behind DJs and Projects. Compilations like “Ministry Of Sound – The Annual”, iTunes, Beatport, even the billboard charts were suffering from it, without knowing about it’s existence. It is considered highly dangerous and infectious, leading to the conclusion that it is of great importance to warn the public about TheFatRat.

He’s quickly becoming a favorite in this hard-syncer’s library. Check out this sweet rendition of Avicii:

♬ Skrillex – First Of The Year (Equinox) (Original Mix)

Super Señor Sonny Moore aka Skrillex is making his round of NYC clubs this week, visiting Webster, Pacha, Terminal 5, Roseland — even 1 Oak (though not sure if that’s in order). Point is, you should definitely try to see this monster while he’s here; his most recent work, EP Bangarang, out last December, is still reverberating in me. Here, one more: his awesome collaboration with The Doors

♬ Skrillex – Breakn’ A Sweat (Original Mix)

psst, he’s also gonna be at ultra…

Zedd takes on Skrillex and… the Doors ?!

The Doors recently teamed up with Sonny Delight mister Skrillex to produce a documentary about the development of electronic music in the latest generation (“ReGeneration”), and, basically, how they can still fit in. But what they came up was bangin’, and then fave homeboy Zedd came along and showed us what he thought of it all…

★ Skrillex – Breakin’ A Sweat (Zedd Remix) NSFW !

No, not Zed’s Dead — this 21-y.o., Beatport-signed, Russian mastermind is very much alive. In fact, he’ll be in New York this Wednesday, with his bff Skrillex at Pacha! You should REALLY go if there are still tickets. This Tommy Trash-esque beat machine has been spinning since he was 13 and got inspired by Daft Punk’s album “Discovery”. First, one of his latest, one of my favorites; and second, another mix with Skrillmonster. You should also hear his ragin’ remix of Save the World, his first mix to cross my ears. Love at first listen.
